With two heat wins and a second place, Oliver Hodgson on pole, made an excellent start despite the damp conditions. All karts made it round the first corner without incident. Thomas Stanway settling down in second place, Simon Harris and Rhys Malyon making up the leading group. At the end of the first lap, Simon had moved up to second with Thomas in third. Oliver Hindle gained the most positions, moving up from twelfth to seventh. By lap four, Sam Blake had progressed up to fourth, closely followed by Oliver. Rhys unable to match their pace dropping down to sixth. Further down the field, Craig Pollard and Charlotte Wones were battling it out for seventh place. The conditions were making it difficult to overtake as anyone who went offline found to their cost, several drivers having their karts pushed back on to the track by the marshals. On lap eleven, Oliver slipped past Sam into fourth place. The next lap saw Charlotte move past Craig for seventh spot. With Oliver increasing his lead over the last few laps, he took the chequered flag by a good margin. Consistent driving from Simon Harris earned him 2nd place. Thomas Stanway coming home in 3rd with Oliver Hindle in 4th. Sam Blake finishing in 5th ahead of Rhys Malyon in 6th.

HONDA CADET

Mitchell Squire led away from the green light, closely followed by Tom Griffiths and Mathew Cochrane. Mathew, coping better with the slippery conditions, overtook Mitchell for the lead at the end of the first lap. Tom, also getting the better of Mitchell, went in to second place. By lap four, Gordon Smith had moved up to third with Jasmine Gunton in fourth. Lap six and problems for Mitchell forced him to retire from the race. With a comfortable lead, Mathew Cochrane took the win ahead of Thomas Griffiths in 2nd place. In 3rd position was Gordon Smith ahead of Jasmine Gunton in 4th.

JUNIOR TKM

With the track drying out, Ashley Ruggles led the field away from the lights. Stuart MacClinton however, led after the first corner with Ashley in second. Lee Waters with some excellent driving moved up to third at the end of the first lap but fell back to fifth on the next lap, promoting Daniel Bishop to third. With Stuart and Ashley beginning to open out a gap, Tom Cluley made his move and overtook Daniel for third. At the half way stage, Stuart had increased his lead by several seconds and looked unlikely to be caught. At the flag, a well deserved win for Stuart MacClinton ahead of Ashley Ruggles in 2nd. Tom Cluley coming home in 3rd ahead of Lee Waters in 4th. Lee also finishing as 1st restricted driver. Daniel Bishop finishing in 5th place.

JUNIOR TKM INTERMEDIATE

Racing in with the Junior TKM’s, Steven Chisholm took the class win.

JUNIOR ROTAX MAX

Pole sitter Luke Branch set off at a cracking pace in the final, trying to keep Lloyd Bell and James Canham behind him. After the first series of corners, Michael Groves and James Lincoln had passed James Canham to go third and fourth. On lap four, Michael slipped past Lloyd for second place. Lloyd and James Lincoln came together on the next lap, Lloyd spun forcing James Canham with nowhere to go but off the track. Jamie Fordham nipped through in to fourth place. James Lincoln was now on Michaels tail and wasted no time moving past on lap six for second place. James Canham, having recovered his form, soon caught and passed Jamie for fourth position. Luke by this time had a commanding lead which he held to the finish line. James Lincoln in 2nd place ahead of Michael Groves in 3rd. James Canham, after a good drive finishing well in 4th spot just ahead of Peter Masters in 5th. Jamie Fordham in 6th place with Lloyd Bell as 1st restricted driver finishing in 7th overall.

MINI-MAX (Sponsored by Yelverton Motor Company)

After three good drives in the heats, Josh Bass made the most of being on pole. Although leading the group from start to finish, apart from one corner when Daniel Fisher briefly took the lead, Josh had to work hard for this win as all four karts were never more than a fraction of a second apart. Any mistake at the front and three karts would have been through. At the flag, a win for Josh Bass followed by Daniel Fisher in 2nd. Alex Widdrington in 3rd place in his first Mini-Max race and Nicholas Wones coming home in 4th.

SENIOR ROTAX MAX

Liam Lambert once again on pole after three good heat positions. Liam getting an excellent start to lead round the first corner, brother Jamie Lambert following through in second relegating Gordon to third. Leyton Nisbett also making progress up in to fourth. Lap two saw Gordon move past Jamie to sit behind Liam. Phil McLintic was also on the move, first up to fourth then past Jamie to third. Lap five and Gordon was in the lead but not for long, Liam soon caught Gordon down the start straight but a collision between them let Phil through in to first place. Liam rejoined the race quickly but was black flagged a couple of laps later for this incident. Jamie Lambert was therefore promoted to second with Ashley Beales just behind in third. Leyton was once again in fourth. The race settled down with Gordon trying to catch the leading group, passing Leyton on lap twelve to claim forth spot. Mel Cooke, driving exceptionally well in his first kart race was in sixth place. At the flag, a win for Phil McLintic ahead of Jamie Lambert in 2nd. Ashley Beales in 3rd followed by Gordon Chenery in 4th. Leyton Nisbett in 5th with Mel Cooke in 6th place. Mel receiving two trophies, as 1st restricted driver and the marshals choice as 'Driver of the Day'.
