CLUB MEETING 24th NOVEMBER 2001

CADET
From the start the Honda Cadet of Rupert Svensden-Cook pulled away from the Comer Cadets of Jack Delaney, Nick Wones and Craig Boyd, However Delaney and Wones were not to be outdone and soon caught up having pulled out a gap to Boyd and Krishan Padhiar. Wones and Delaney took turns in leading the chase but a spin dropped Delaney to 4th leaving Wones free to challenge for the lead. On lap 11 he finally got past Svensden-Cook and pulled away for the win, Svensden-Cook came home 2nd (1st Honda), Boyd 3rd, Delaney 4th, Padhiar 5th, Toby Rogers 6th (1st Restricted), Paul Reeves 7th (2nd Restricted) and Elliot Hill 8th.

JUNIOR TKM
Dean Hill was certainly on top form taking a clean sweep of the heats and then leading the final from lights to flag for a superb win, G Freeman didn't however give up and made it a very tough race but couldn't quite make a challenge. The Seasons top driver Chris Pengelly found the going tough and could only manage 3rd having overtaken Danny Fiske 4th along the way, Matt Skilton came home 5th, Ashley Ruggles 6th (1st Restricted), Matt Drew 7th (2nd Restricted) and Peter Hargreaves 8th.

JUNIOR TKM INTERMEDIATES
A great start by Joe Scorey from 4th on the grid saw him lead them round on the first lap although a spin on lap 2 saw him drop to last, this left James Blyth up front closely followed by Chris Lock. These two pulled away from the field and despite coming under severe pressure Blyth held off Lock to take the win, Lock finished 2nd with Scorey having come up through the field a distant 3rd, Reece Broady took 4th, Ruth Senior 5th, Shaun Lehan 6th, Daniel Laddiman 7th (1st Restricted) and Ben Tyler 8th.

ROTAX MAX
Paul Worley having started on pole wasted no time in breaking clear of the chasing pack to take what in the end was a comfortable victory, behind him though was a different story as Kevin Bishop, Jason Fowler and Nick Gill all pushed hard for 2nd. Lap 6 saw Gill pass Fowler and lap 12 saw him pass Bishop and into a well deserved 2nd place. Gill managed to hold off Bishop and they finished 2nd and 3rd respectfully Fowler came home 4th ahead of Craig Turner 5th, Gordon Chennery 6th, Gavin Petty 7th and Paul Adams 8th (1st Restricted).

SNR 100 NATIONAL & TKM
The 100 National saw Dannie Pennell have a comfortable win over James Clutten and TKM saw Graham Brown win with Nathan Roberts 2nd and Andrew Aguda 3rd.

GEARBOX
Richard Weavers (125 Open) led them away at the lights with Greg Tripp (125 Open) and Howard Bennett (125 Open) in hot pursuit but a spin for Tripp on lap 2 saw both himself and Bennett lose a lot of ground. Weavers looked to have an easy ride to the flag but Bennett slowly closed the gap and on the final lap got the better of him to take a well earned victory, Weavers came 2nd with Tripp 3rd, Ian Melton (125 National) 4th and Darren Patteson (250 International) 5th.
