BECCLES AND DISTRICT 21st OCTOBER 2000

CADET

Gary Findlay jumped into the lead in the cadet final and slowly drew away
from the field for a comfortable win, Matt Skilton managed to hold on for
2nd ahead of Dean Hill 3rd, Daniel Tuffs 4th and Danny Fiske 5th.
1st restricted went to Nicolas Wones with Jordon Coulson 2nd.

JNR TKM

Ryan Bensley got the jump at the lights and despite coming under severe
pressure from Chris Lock managed to hold on to take the flag, Lock finished
2nd with Jamie English 3rd


JNR INTERMEDIATE

Joe Scorey was on fine form again with a stunning drive that saw him win by
a country mile, Nino Piccoli managed to hold on to 2nd ahead of the flying
Ruth Senior.

GEARBOX

An explosive start from Graham Johnson saw him go from last on the grid to
2nd by the first corner behind Richard Weavers, on lap 8 he forced Weavers
into a mistake and managed to sneak past and pull away for an excellent win.
Richard Weavers just managed to hold off a late charge by Greg Tripp for second,
Tripp finished 3rd and Jonathon Weavers came home 4th.


SNR TKM


After a clean sweep in the heats Lloyd Scriven made no mistake with the
final although he did come under sustained pressure from Trevor Randall.
Randall finished 2nd ahead of David Lock 3rd and Gavin Petty 4th.


100C

After a fierce 12 lap scrap Jason Baker deservedly won the 100C final ahead
of Ian Melton. Paul Steady drove well to hold off the close attentions of
Nick Black for 3rd place, Black 4th, Clutten 5th and Hunnibell rounded out
the top 6.


ROTAX MAX

In what was undoubtedly the race of the day, Steve Newsham overcame Kevin
Bishop by half a length, the two had never been more than a few kart lengths
apart and despite a last ditch effort by Bishop he had to settle for 2nd
place. John Thompson came 3rd, Harold Haywood 4th, Adam Baker 1st restricted
in 5th and Peter Fox in 6th.
