COMER / WTP CADET

Triple heat winner Thomas Stanway started off the first final of the day. Three second places in the heats saw Oliver Hindle completing the front row. From the lights, Thomas kept the lead position with Michael Headland keeping close behind through the first corner, forcing Oliver in to third place. Jordan Harber made the largest gain, moving up from eighth place crossing the start line to fourth place half way round the lap. Teddie Harvey also made good progress working through to seventh place. Three separate groups quickly appeared, Thomas pulling out a lead at the front, Michael and Oliver a few metres back disputing second place, and Craig Pollard with Jake Wenham another few metres back battling for fourth place. Oliver made his move on lap three, slipping past Michael for second place. Just off the leading groups, Kasia Nicklin had picked up two places to go in to sixth position by the end of lap five. At the front, Thomas was gradually increasing his lead over the chasing groups with Oliver opening out a gap to Michael. Craig and Jake continued to exchange places up to lap twelve, finally Jake made a decisive move leaving Craig in fifth spot. At the flag, a comfortable win for Thomas Stanway, ahead of Oliver Hindle in 2nd. Coming home in 3rd was Michael Headland ahead of Jake Wenham in 4th. Craig Pollard in 5th place, with Kasia Nicklin 6th. Kasia also collected the 1st restricted driver trophy.

Simon Harris started on pole, Aaron Head in second place. After a good clean start, Simon came out of the first corner with Andrew Moore and Aaron right on his rear bumper. Karl Cocca bringing up the rear of the group in fourth spot. Working hard for two laps, Andrew got his reward by overtaking Aaron for second. Lap three, Karl caught and passed Aaron for third place. Karl soon had Andrew in his sights and on lap seven slipped past for second. Andrew didn’t give up that easily, staying with Karl to the last lap before retaking second place. At the finish flag, a win for Simon Harris, ahead of Andrew Moore in 2nd. Karl Cocca in 3rd. Karl also finishing as 1st restricted driver. Aaron Head coming home in 4th.

JUNIOR TKM

Consistent driving from Daniel Bishop saw him take the win over Tom Cluley in 2nd, ahead of Lee Waters in 3rd.

JUNIOR ROTAX MAX

Two wins and a third placed Daniel Fisher on pole position ahead of Peter Masters in second. Daniel quickly took advantage of his starting position as soon as the lights went green, leaving Peter a few metres back, followed by James Lincoln, James Harber and Luke Branch. Problems forced Peter out of the race on lap four, leaving Daniel with a good lead over the following trio. Being able to concentrate on his driving without someone trying to overtake meant Daniel put in some very consistent lap times all the way to the flag. Daniel Fisher taking the win ahead of James Lincoln in 2nd. James Harber finishing in 3rd place overall and as 1st restricted driver with Luke Branch coming home in 4th.

SENIOR ROTAX MAX

Jamie Bardwell and Ashley Beales trying to stay in touch Ray, with Jason Beck just behind in fourth. The race settled down in this order to lap six when Patrick Miller passed Jason for fourth place. Patrick reduced the gap to Ashley every lap until lap thirteen, overtaking to go third. Ray and Jamie were too far ahead to catch with only one lap left. At the chequered flag a win for Ray Lincoln ahead of Jamie Bardwell in 2nd. Jamie receiving the marshals driver of the day trophy for driving so well in his first senior race. Patrick Miller in 3rd with Ashley Beales in 4th. Jason Beck in 5th overall and as the 1st restricted driver. Kyle Garrett finishing in 6th.

Mel and Wayne were beginning to pull away from the rest of the field, when a mechanical failure forced Mel in to the pits for repairs. Wayne quickly increased his advantage over the new second spot man Brian Jones. Cavin gained back a couple of places by lap eight, moving in to fifth. Mel rejoined the race on lap eight but only to save as many points as possible in the championship race.  At the flag, a win for Wayne Vickory, finishing ahead of Brian Jones in 2nd.
