CLUB MEETING 9th MARCH 2002

CADET

From the lights it was Jack Delaney who took the lead with Craig Boyd immediately challenging him. On lap 2 Boyd got passed and although Delaney battled hard he just couldn't do enough to hang on to the back of him which left Boyd clear to take the win, Delaney in turn pulled well clear of Kieran Smith for 2nd, Smith 3rd, Toby Rogers 4th, Luke Branch (1st restricted) 5th and Krishan Padhiar 6th. Jake Baker won the WTP Cadet race with Nicholas Lucas finishing 2nd.

JUNIOR TKM

Tommy Eustace made a great start to lead away the Juniors with Danny Fiske holding 2nd and trying to mount a challenge. Rain at the start of lap 4 really shook things up as the surface became slippery and this allowed Eustace to open up a small gap back to Fiske, he in turn had pulled out a gap back to William Reed and Peter Hargreaves. On lap 8 Fiske finally hit the front and gradually pulled away from Eustace to take a good win, Eustace held on to 2nd with Hargreaves getting the better of Reed for 3rd, Ashley Ruggles (1st restricted) also got past Reed to finish 4th, Reed 5th and Benjamin Firbank (2nd restricted) came 6th.

JUNIOR TKM INTERMEDIATE & JUNIOR ROTAX

The Junior Rotax started in front of the Intermediates and it was Clark Randall who immediately pulled a big lead out on Robin Shute who was driving really well in his first ever meeting, he in turn pulled away from William Smith who had suffered a spin. Randall came in 1st, Shute (1st restricted) 2nd and Smith (2nd restricted) 3rd. In the Intermediates it was James Blyth all the way as he took the chequered flag by a country mile from Ben Tyler 2nd, Ben Conner 3rd having overtaken Dan Bramham 4th (1st restricted) on the line, Adam Blackmore 5th (2nd restricted) and Daniel Laddiman 6th (3rd restricted).

SENIOR ROTAX & SENIOR OPEN

With the Senior Opens starting at the back of the Rotax's it was great to see Kevin Bishop (Biland) come through the whole field to take the chequered flag ahead of the flying Paul Worley (1st Rotax), Julian Warner (2nd Rotax), Jason Baker (3rd Rotax), David Adams (4th Rotax), Wayne Close (5th Rotax) and James Lemon (6th Rotax 1st restricted).
